Homemade Beef Stew Seasoning

This homemade beef stew seasoning is an easy no-packet-needed mix you can make in minutes using pantry spices. Perfect for rich, flavorful beef stew without relying on store-bought seasoning.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp thyme
  • ½ tsp rosemary (crushed)
  • 1 Tbsp cornstarch

Method
 

  1. In a small bowl, mix all ingredients until well combined.
  2. Use immediately or store in an airtight container.
  3. To Use in Beef Stew
  4. Brown 1 pound of beef in a pot.
  5. Add vegetables (potatoes, carrots, onion).
  6. Add 3–4 cups beef broth or water.
  7. Stir in seasoning mix.
  8. Simmer 30–45 minutes until tender and thickened.

Notes

  • Use beef broth instead of water for deeper flavor.
  • Add a splash of Worcestershire sauce for richness.
  • Adjust thickness by adding more or less liquid.
