Pig cake

A vintage novelty cake with a name that makes you stop and stare. Pig Cake is a mid-century "weird but works" dessert-simple ingredients, clever cooking, and absolutely no pork involved.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 sm mandarin oranges, drained
  • 1 8oz cool whip
  • 1 can crushed pineapple
  • 1 sm box instant vanilla pudding

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Prepare yellow cake mix, as per directions on the box. Add mandarin oranges to cake batter.
  3. Cool cake completely.
  4. For cake frosting; mix whipped topping, crushed pineapple and instant vanilla pudding. Spread on cake.
  5. Store covered in the refrigerator.
