Homemade Brown Gravy Mix

A simple pantry seasoning blend that replaces store-bought brown gravy packets. Just mix with water for a quick, rich gravy.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 Tbsp beef bouillon powder (or granules)
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp paprika

Method
 

  1. In a small bowl, mix all ingredients until well combined.
  2. Store in an airtight container or use immediately.
  3. To Make Gravy:
  4. In a saucepan, whisk mix with 1 cup water.
  5. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring constantly.
  6. Cook until thickened, about 2–3 minutes.

Notes

  • Add a splash of Worcestershire sauce for deeper flavor.
  • Use beef broth instead of water for a richer gravy.
  • Adjust thickness by adding more or less liquid.
